Emerging Leader Award & Project of the Year
Each year, the Physicians for Human Rights National Student Program considers nominations for two annual awards.
Emerging Leader Award and Project of the Year
We are excited to announce that the nomination period for these two awards is NOW OPEN.
How to Apply
To nominate, please email the following to phr.sab@gmail.com with the name of the award in the subject line.

Your nominee's name or university affiliation

A one-paragraph explanation (350 words or less) of why you are nominating that person/chapter

A brief video (~1 minute) of that person/chapter's recent accomplishments/events/advocacy initiatives (Note: video will not be shared publicly without your permission)
You may nominate yourself/your own chapter, or another individual/chapter whose work this year has helped champion human rights causes.
Nominations will be accepted through Sunday, January 31, 2021, and winners will be announced in early Spring 2021.
Emerging Leader(s) Award
Awarded to an individual student or group of students who has demonstrated potential to make an important impact on health and human rights. This person or group has shown a true dedication to PHR's mission, and has recently brought fresh energy to the fight for the human rights of all people.
Project of the Year Award
Awarded to a project, organized by a PHR chapter, that addresses PHR's mission and advocacy campaigns through advocacy, education and/or research. This project may exemplify excellent student leadership, demonstrate dedicated community engagement, and bring PHR's mission to their campuses and regions in an impactful way. The project may serve as a model for chapters across the U.S. and internationally.
